A passerby made an unusual discovery at a Kwik Trip in Mankato, Minnesota this past Friday. A dog had attempted to drive a semi truck and was not very successful in his first attempt. The passerby snapped a photo of the incident at the perfect time:
Marie Brace was the person who captured the photo of a semi truck smashed against a downed tree and parked car at the gas pump with a curious white Labrador Retriever peering out the driver’s side window.
Mankato police later confirmed what Marie had suspected, the dog somehow put the truck into gear while the owner was in the store. The truck sailed across the street and into a nearby parked car. Fortunately nobody was injured, including the unlicensed dog.
No citations have been issued according to the police though some feel the dog should be charged for driving without a license.
